If ever there was a beer that was a perfect example of its style then Schneider Weisse is that beer.

The Schneider brewery in Kelhiem uses a high proportion of  wheat alongside malt in brewing beer. This mix creates a wheat beer that pours  dark amber in colour with a great blend of the acidic sharpness associated with wheat beer alongside the hop bitterness.

Today wheat beer has become quite fashionable with at least one  wheat or 'white' beer available in many bars and pubs.
